Inhibitory Effect of Gonadotropic Hormone Releasing Hormone Analogue on Ovarian Carcinoma Growth in Nude Mice

Abstract
In order to evaluate the role of gonadotropin releasing hormone(GnRH) analogue to the ovarian tumor, the human ovarian epithelial carcinoma cell lines were heterotransplanted in femle nude mice and some effects were evaluated in GnRH analogue
[D-TrpE6]
treated mice.
@ES The results were as follow:
@EN 1. Administration of GnRH analogue for 14 days to mice after 21 days of implantation of ovarian cancer cells into the buttock resulted in significant decreased tumor volume compare to control group.
2. Early administration of GnRH analogue for 21 days to mice after 2 days of implantation of tumor cells into the buttock resulted in significant inhibitory effect on tumor formation.
3. Administration of GnRH alalogue for 14 days 14 days of intraperitoneal injection of tumor cells showed inhibitory effect on ascites and multiple visceral tumor formations.
4. GnRH analogue treated group in nude mice trended to decrese serum CA-125 level, but its statistics was not significant.
5. Tumors developed in GnRH analogue treated group present marked decrease in cellularity and increase in fibroblastic stroma compare to control group.
Regression of ovarian tumors in nude mice in response to chronic administration of [D-TrpE6] suggests that this compound is able to control of neoplastic ovarian growth in weman.
